Person shot during KC robbery

One person was shot in the chest during a Friday afternoon business robbery in central Kansas City, according to police.

The victim was taken to a hospital. No condition report was available.

The robbery occurred about 12:30 p.m. at a cellphone business at the corner of 40th Street and Troost Avenue, police said.

Officers were searching the area for a suspect.
