Man who died after struggle with police identified

A man who died Thursday night after struggling with Kansas City, Kan., police was identified Friday as Craig Mckinnis, 44, of Kansas City, Kan.

Police pulled him over for a traffic violation just after 6 p.m. Thursday in the 500 block of Stewart Avenue. After officers determined he was wanted on criminal charges, he tried to flee and resisted arrest, police said.

Authorities have not released a cause of death. Police said the incident is still under investigation.
