Churches burglarized in Kansas City, Kan.
Kansas City, Kan., police said Tuesday they are investigating recent burglaries to at least four churches.
The break-ins occurred Sunday night into Monday morning at churches in the 1300 block of North 64th Street, the 1200 block of North 64th Terrace, the 1500 block of South 40th Street and the 4000 block of South Minnie Street, according to police.
Police did not disclose what was taken.
The pastor of one of the churches said the thieves came up empty in that burglary.
Ted Satterfield said the thieves were apparently seeking money and forced open several drawers in the office of the Emerson Park Christian Church at 1501 S. 40th on Sunday night, but nothing was taken.
“We were very fortunate,” he said.
Police ask anyone with information about the crimes to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
