Reward in fatal Independence stabbing grows to $8,000
The reward for information in the July 2013 death of Independence resident Corey Laykovich has been increased to $8,000.
Laykovich, a college student, died of a stab wound family members discovered after he returned to his family’s home. Investigators have received several tips relating to the case, according to the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers Hotline. Police ask anyone with information regarding Laykovich’s death to call 816-474-TIPS (474-8477).
