Man stabbed outside Lee’s Summit bar

A man was stabbed in the neck during an argument outside of a Lee’s Summit bar Sunday night.

The victim’s injuries were not life-threatening. Police arrested a suspect after a chase into Cass County.

Lee’s Summit police said the stabbing was reported about 9 p.m. Sunday outside the business at Southeast Fourth and Southeast Main streets. The two men were leaving the bar when the stabbing occurred inside a vehicle, police said.

The victim went back inside to seek help. As officers arrived, the suspect was driving away. Officers pursued and arrested him after a chase.
