Kansas City man seriously hurt in Lafayette County crash

A Kansas City man was seriously injured when his car left the road and overturned early Sunday in Lafayette County.

The Missouri Highway Patrol said 21-year-old Cory E. Brown was driving west on Missouri 224 at Myrick Road at 2:18 a.m. when he lost control and the car left the road. Brown, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected. He was taken by life flight to a hospital.
