Abused dog in Kansas City loses eyes
Veterinarians were forced to remove a dog’s eyes after it was beaten, strangled and thrown off a third-floor balcony in Kansas City, according to KC Pet Project.
The animal shelter posted on its Facebook page Wednesday that the Tibetan spaniel, being called Roadrunner, was rescued Sunday night after witnesses reported its owner threw it from an apartment complex and left it for dead.
“He was a victim of unspeakable cruelty — one of the worst cases we’ve ever seen,” the shelter said in its posting.
The dog’s facial injuries required that his eyes be removed. The dog is now recovering at a foster home.
