Reward for information in Northland shooting increases to $10,000

A reward being offered for information about the July 7 shooting of a Kansas City, North, mother and teen daughter has grown to $10,000.

An anonymous donor added $5,000 to the fund this week, the Kansas City Crime Commission said Thursday.

A man carrying a shotgun wounded the 46-year-old mother and her 14-year-old daughter at their home in the 10300 block of North Virginia Avenue. The daughter remained hospitalized Thursday.

Investigators found the shotgun in a nearby home’s basement.
