Excelsior Springs man dies Sunday in wrong-way wreck
A 28-year-old Excelsior Springs man was killed in a wrong-way vehiculuar accident early Sunday on U.S. 69, just south of 166th Street in Clay County.
The victim was identified as Hillary A. House. The accident was reported about 2:30 a.m.
The accident occurred when House was driving south in the northbound lane and collided head-on with another vehicle. House, who was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene, the Missouri Highway Patrol reported.
The driver of the second vehicle, a 59-year-old Lawson man, was treated at Liberty Hospital for moderate injuries.
The accident remains under investigation.
