KC police officer struck by car

A Kansas City police officer received minor injuries Saturday when he was struck by a vehicle during a traffic stop.

According to police, the vehicle was stopped at 25th Street and Montgall Avenue at about 9:20 p.m. The officer was struck when the female driver attempted to get away, police said. Police said the driver is in custody.
