KCK police ID man found dead after standoff
Police on Saturday identified a man found dead after a Friday night standoff in Kansas City, Kan., as Charles D. Broadway, 24.
The Kansas City, Kan., man allegedly shot at police offices after they responded to a disturbance call about 6:30 p.m. Friday in the 1700 block of North 73rd Street. No officers were hit. Police established a perimeter around the apartment and evacuated adjacent residents as a precaution.
After a lengthy standoff, police entered the apartment and found Broadway dead. The Wyandotte County coroner will determine a cause of death, police said.
The incident remains under investigation, police said Saturday.
