Suspect arrested in 2 Olathe bank robberies

Olathe police on Wednesday arrested a man suspected in two bank robberies in that city one week apart.

The man was taken to the Johnson County detention center pending a court appearance.

The Arvest Bank at 11150 Pflumm Road was robbed about 4:15 p.m. Tuesday by a man who appeared to be talking on a cell phone. He handed a note to a teller demanding money and left in a white four-door vehicle.

On Oct. 28, the Brotherhood Bank & Trust at 17900 W. 119th St. was robbed just after 3 p.m. by a man who appeared to be talking on a cell phone. He handed a note to a teller demanding money and left in a white four-door vehicle.
