Overland Park police seek man who robbed 80-year-old woman (with video)

Overland Park police on Wednesday released video footage that shows a thief stealing an 80-year-old woman’s purse.

The crime occurred just before 5 p.m. Monday in the parking lot outside Walmart at 117th Street and Metcalf Avenue.

The woman ran after the thief and picked up his cap, which fell off while he was running.

Police released a picture of the hat with the video.
