Suspect arrested in KCK after ramming police vehicles

A driver who rammed several Kansas City, Kan., police cars and led police on a chase was arrested early Tuesday morning.

Officers were called to the area of 11th Street and Central Avenue just before 1 a.m. Tuesday after someone reported a person passed out inside a vehicle. When officers began talking to the person, he put the vehicle in gear and rammed several police cars. Officers fired shots before the driver sped off.

The chase went across the state line and back into Kansas City, Kan., where the suspect was stopped and taken into custody just a few blocks from where the incident began.

No injuries were reported.
