Child wounded in Kansas City shooting

A 7-year-old boy was slightly wounded early Sunday morning by being grazed by a bullet in south Kansas City.

Police Chief Darryl Forté tweeted that the incident occurred about 3:30 a.m. in the 9100 block of Oak Street.

Apparently the shooting took place during an altercation between the boy’s father and his mother’s ex-boyfriend.
