Sean Dow, who is currently being held in jail in Johnson County on charges he sexually abused four female students at a Shawnee music store where he gave lessons, has now been charged with sex crimes in Missouri.

An Overland Park man already jailed on sexual abuse allegations in Johnson County now faces charges in Jackson County.

Jackson County Prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced the new charges against Sean Dow, 28, on Saturday.

He has been charged with first-degree statutory sodomy, first-degree child molestation, sexual exploitation of a minor and possession of child pornography.

Dow is being held in Johnson County on charges he sexually abused four female students at a Shawnee music store where he gave lessons.

The new charges in Jackson County stem from what a 7-year-old girl told forensic interviewers in April. She reportedly said Dow molested her while she was watching a video.

The girl said she was falling asleep. She woke up and found Dow’s hands down her pants. Dow also allegedly took photos of her genitals and said he was going to keep “a diary of it,” according to court records.
