Third defendant sentenced in KC home invasion
A Jackson County judge sentenced a Kansas City man Thursday to 25 years in prison for his role in a 2013 home invasion in south Kansas City.
Jonathan Fields, 31, is the third defendant sentenced in the case. His brother, Joshua Fields, and Marlyn Standifer also received 25-year prison sentences.
A gunfight ensued during the attempted robbery. One man was severely wounded, but four young girls living in the home escaped physical injury.
