Police identify 83-year-old Overland Park pedestrian killed by motorcycle

An 83-year-old woman who died after being struck by a motorcycle in Overland Park has been identified as Doris A. Asher, police said.

The Overland Park woman was attempting to cross 119th Street about 11 p.m. Sunday when a westbound motorcycle hit her just east of Glenwood Avenue, police said.

Asher died from her injuries at a hospital Monday morning, police said.

The motorcyclist received treatment at the scene for minor injuries.
