KC police in standoff with man believed to be armed
Kansas City police continue working a standoff that began early Monday morning with a man they believe is armed with a gun.
Police said that at about 1 a.m. they were called to a disturbance at a residence in the 3800 block of Roberts Street, a block north of Independence Avenue.
A woman told police that her boyfriend had chased her out of the house, shot at her and threatened to kill them both.
Police believe the man is alone in the house.
