Kansas City, Kan., man is charged in hit-and-run fatality

A 33-year-old Kansas City, Kan., man was arrested and charged Friday in connection with a deadly hit-and-run accident.

Lucious Moore was held at the Wyandotte County jail and charged with one count of leaving the scene of an injury accident.

He is accused of hitting Darrin M. Smith, 34, of Kansas City, Kan., with his car as Smith walked near Third Street and Oakland Avenue about 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. Smith died at the scene.
