Grandview teen charged after alleged early morning robbery

A 17-year-old Grandview man was charged Monday with armed robbery and other offenses after he and four juveniles allegedly robbed three victims of money and fake gold teeth.

A woman and two men said they were walking toward a bus stop near 74th Street and Tracy Avenue about 4:15 a.m. Monday when a small vehicle drove by and the occupants asked for marijuana. When the victims said they didn’t have any, several suspects, including Malcolm I. Brewer, got out of the vehicle with handguns and ordered the victims to the ground. The robbers allegedly took at least $300 and fake gold teeth from the male victims.

The suspects were arrested after a police pursuit and Brewer was identified by the female victim in a lineup. He allegedly said the juveniles he was with had committed three different robberies Monday morning.
