Olathe police investigate early morning robbery

Olathe police officers are investigating an early morning robbery at a service station in the 100 block of south Parker St.

A department spokesman says a man entered the station just after 6 a.m. and showed a handgun. The suspect struck the clerk and left on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.

The clerk’s injuries are considered minor.

The male suspect was described as being 5-9 or 5-10, wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, gray stocking hat, and blue jeans.

The suspect’s face was covered with a blue bandana.
