Pedestrian found dead in KCK street after hit-and-run incident
A motorist struck and killed a man early Tuesday then left the scene before Kansas City, Kan., police arrived.
The victim died at the scene near Third Street and Oakland Avenue, police said.
Police learned of the incident about 1:15 a.m. According to a preliminary report, a vehicle traveling south on Third Street hit the man.
Police did not release his name Tuesday morning because relatives had not been notified.
