Police looking for five intruders who robbed Merriam motel guest
Merriam police are looking for five people who robbed a motel guest early Monday.
Officers responded about 4:30 a.m. to the robbery call in the 6400 block of East Frontage Road. The 45-year-old victim told officers that he had answered his motel room door for a woman he knew as Crystal.
After he opened the door, four men knocked him to the floor and tied him up with a sheet. Before fleeing in a white truck, they took cash and equipment used to locate cable lines.
The victim described Crystal as white, about 31 years old, about 5 feet, 6 inches tall and 115 pounds with brown hair. She wore blue jeans and a white shirt.
He described one of the men as Hispanic, about 5-foot-8 and 180 pounds, wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt.
The other three men were white, he said. He described one as 6-foot-2, about 240 pounds, bald, wearing blue jeans and a flannel shirt. He said the second man was 5-foot-10, about 160 pounds, with long sandy blond hair and dressed in blue jeans. The third man was 6 feet tall and about 180 pounds wearing a black shirt and black baseball cap.
