7-Eleven adds $10,000 to reward fund in 6-year-old’s killing

A convenience store chain has added $10,000 to a reward fund offered for information about the killer of 6-year-old Angel Hooper.

The donation came from 7-Eleven Stores, the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers announced Wednesday. That brings the total reward to $12,000 for information leading to an arrest in the case. Tips can be given anonymously.

Angel died Friday after being shot in the parking lot of a 7-Eleven store at 10615 Blue Ridge Blvd. in south Kansas City. Angel and her father were leaving the store when someone in a car driving by on 107th Street fired gunshots into the store’s lot.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816 474-TIPS (474-8477).
