A Tonganoxie man will serve over two years in prison after previously pleading guilty to sexual exploitation of a child.

Travis Oglesby, 37, was sentenced to 32 months in the Kansas Department of Corrections on Wednesday, according to a news release from Leavenworth County Attorney Todd Thompson. Oglesby previously pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual exploitation of a child on May 29.

The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children received a report from the messaging app Kik regarding potential child pornography, Thompson said. The Kansas Bureau of Investigation tied the account to Oglesby.

KBI agents carried out a search warrant at Oglesby’s residence in Tonganoxie, after which Oglesby admitted to using the Kik account, Thompson said.
