Head-on collision in Olathe kills one motorist, critically injures another

A 77-year-old woman was killed about 12:45 p.m. Thursday in a head-on collision on Dennis Avenue just west of Church Street in Olathe.

The driver of the other vehicle, a 25-year-old woman, was critically injured. Neither vehicle had passengers, said Sgt. Bryan Hill, police spokesman.

Speed appeared to be factor, police said. Other details were not immediately available and police continued to investigate.
