KCKPD, FBI searching for suspect in armed bank robbery near The Legends

The Kansas City, Kansas Police Department and FBI are searching for a man they say robbed a Wyandotte County bank at gunpoint Wednesday.

The robbery allegedly occurred just before 3 p.m. at the Country Club Bank, at 11006 Parallel Parkway, according to a news release from Officer Carlos Ulloa, a spokesperson for KCKPD.

Ulloa said an “armed, heavyset male” around 5 feet, 8 inches tall threatened employees with a gun and demanded money. The man fled the scene in a vehicle that was later recovered near Interstate 435 and Leavenworth Road.

Anyone with information regarding the robbery is asked to call the Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers anonymous TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
