The Excelsior Springs Fire Department is seeking the public’s assistance after firefighters found a portable toilet burned to the ground at a local skate park Thursday evening.

Firefighters were called to the Regent Park skate park at 900 S. Marietta St. just before 5:30 p.m. after receiving a report that a portable toilet was on fire, according to a social media post from the Excelsior Springs Fire Department.

The fire department said the fire is “considered suspicious,” and is now under criminal investigation.

“This type of damage can possibly result in felony charges for property damage,” the post said.
