One person is in critical condition following shooting in Independence
One man is in critical condition on Friday evening following a shooting in Independence.
Officers with the Independence Police Department responded to the 1900 block of South Brookstone Village Drive just before 6:30 p.m. on reports of a shooting, Officer Bryan Conley, a spokesperson for the department, said in a press release.
There, officers found a man suffering from a gunshot wound, Conley said.
Responding officers provided the man life-saving measures before he was transported to an area hospital in critical condition, Conley said.
“This remains an active investigation,” Conley said. “More information will be provided when it becomes available.”
