Three teenagers apprehended by KCPD following carjacking

Kansas City police officers on Wednesday morning arrested three teenagers who allegedly stole a man’s car.

Officers spotted a vehicle early Wednesday morning that had been taken during a carjacking at approximately 11 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Facebook post from the department.

The three suspects, ages 14, 14 and 15, were apprehended after they reportedly crashed the vehicle and tried to run off, the post said.

The victim of the carjacking told officers the teenagers pointed a gun at him before taking his vehicle, the post said.

The teens are being held in Jackson County Juvenile Justice Center as charges are pending, according to the post.
