Police identify man shot to death following altercation in Northeast Kansas City

Authorities have identified a 55-year-old who was shot to death during an incident Sunday at 10th Street and Spruce Avenue as Juan Zubia.

Officers were sent to the Northeast Kansas City neigborhood on a reported shooting. They found Zubia and another person suffering from gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital, where Zubia later died.

Details on what prompted the shooting were not immediately available. No arrests have been made and police continued their investigation on Tuesday.
