Olathe police search for 4 men accused of robbing man at gunpoint

The Olathe Police Department is searching for four men suspected of committing an armed robbery Monday afternoon that left one man injured.

The Olathe Police Department was dispatched to the 600 block of South Curtis Street around 1:45 p.m. on reports of a robbery, according to a press release from department spokesperson Sgt. John Moncayo.

The armed robbery allegedly occurred during “a private sale of property,” Moncayo said. While the sale was in progress, four men robbed the victim at gunpoint and “battered” him.

All four suspects are men, Moncayo said. One could be in his early 20s with blond hair, and was wearing a white T-shirt at the time of the robbery.

The second suspect was wearing a white ski mask, black hoodie and blue ripped skinny jeans at the time of the robbery, Moncayo said.

The third suspect was wearing a grey hoodie , Moncayo said. No immediate information was given on the fourth suspect, other than he is a man.

All four suspects left the scene in an “older model dark passenger vehicle with black rims,” Moncayo said.

Police have not been able to make contact with the suspects, Moncayo said. Anyone with information is asked to call the Olathe Police Department at 913-971-6363, or the anonymous TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
