Girl ejected from vehicle in Kansas City, Kan., incident

A 3-year-old girl was ejected from a vehicle in Kansas City, Kan., Saturday after an accident at the same location where a shooting had been reported.

Police were called to the 500 block of Minnesota Avenue about 5:30 p.m. for what was first reported as a shooting.

Officers did not immediately find evidence of a shooting, but found a vehicle accident in which a 3-year-old girl had been ejected from a vehicle.

The child suffered injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening, police said.
