Central Middle School principal charged with child endangerment, DUI
A Kansas City, Kansas, principal is facing child endangerment charges after allegedly driving under the influence, according to a Johnson County court document.
Brian Dolezal, the principal for Central Middle School, was taken into custody July 2 after allegedly driving under the influence in Shawnee, according to court documents. The man also placed a child “in a situation in which the child’s life, body or health is endangered.”
He faces one count each of aggravated endangerment of a child and driving under the influence of drugs/alcohol, according to court documents.
Dolezal was previously an assistant principal at Sumner Academy of Arts & Sciences and an English and language arts teacher at Wyandotte High School, according to the man’s LinkedIn profile.
Dolezal posted a $2,500 bond on July 2, according to court documents. He is set to appear for a preliminary hearing on July 10.
Kansas City, Kansas Public Schools declined to comment on Dolezal’s arrest.
