Suspicious death of man found in Kansas City alley ruled a homicide
The death of a 19-year-old Kansas City man whose body was found Friday morning in an alley in the 500 block of Drury Avenue has been ruled a homicide, according to Kansas City police.
Police initially investigated Demitri R. Reid’s death as suspicious. The Jackson County medical examiner has ruled it a homicide.
No arrests have been made.
The slaying, the fourth one recorded in Kansas City last week, has been counted as the city’s 50th homicide of the year. The city had 43 homicides by the same date a year ago.
