Police identify man slain in south Kansas City double shooting
Police on Thursday identified a man killed in a double shooting at an apartment complex in the 5700 block of East 96th Place as Tamerick Riley, 18, of Kansas City.
Police responding to a shooting call about 7 p.m. Wednesday found two men with gunshot wounds. Both were taken to a hospital, where Riley died and the other victim underwent surgery. His condition was not available Thursday.
No arrests have been made and police continued their investigation. Anyone with information about the shootings was asked to call the TIPS hotline at 816-474-8477.
