Former Olathe teacher accused of sexual relations with student arrested in Kansas City

A former Olathe teacher accused of unlawful sexual relations with a student was arrested Thursday in Kansas City, according to court records.

Jonathan Molina-Calderon, 35, is in Jackson County jail, with no bond as of Monday, on one felony count of unlawful sexual relations as a teacher with a student who is age 16 or older.

Molina-Calderon will be extradited to Kansas and held in Johnson County without bond.

Documents filed on Nov. 26 show that a student alleged they engaged in consensual sexual intercourse with Molina-Calderon on Oct. 14.

State records show Molina-Calderon had been with the Olathe school district since 2018 and was a science teacher from 2020 until the end of the last school year.
