Apparent attack by man with ax leads to arrest in Shawnee

Shawnee police arrested a man who had been armed with an ax Saturday morning after being called to a house in the 6400 block of Noreston.

The disturbance involved adult neighbors, one of whom was apprehended after leaving a neighbor’s house to return to his own.

Two neighbors were taken to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. Police said they were in stable condition.
