Registered sex offender in Olathe faces new child porn charges

Fifteen years after facing similar charges as a teenager, a 32-year-old Olathe man has been charged with possessing child pornography.

Christopher Lee Greenwood was arrested Wednesday on a warrant charging him with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.

Greenwood is listed on the Kansas sex offender registry for pleading guilty to three counts of sexual exploitation in 2000.

He was released from custody on the latest charge after posting a $10,000 bond Wednesday night. As a condition of bond he was ordered to not use a computer or access the Internet.

His first appearance in Johnson County District Court is scheduled for Aug. 7.
