One man in custody after deadly Wednesday night shooting in Independence: Police
One man died in a shooting Wednesday night in Independence, police said in a news release.
Officers responded around 11:30 p.m. Wednesday to the 8700 block of US Highway 24 on reports of a person who had been shot. A man was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
In a release Thursday afternoon, police said they have a suspect in custody, and that no other information was available.
