Police investigate shooting that injures Kansas City woman

Kansas City police investigated a shooting Friday that left a Kansas City woman injured about 4 p.m. near 51st Street and Bellefontaine Avenue.

The woman was shot in the chest and suffered a life-threatening injury, according to police.

No other details of the incident were immediately available.
