Suspect in custody after stabbing kills one man and injures another in Olathe Saturday

One man died and another was injured after a stabbing Saturday night in Olathe.

Officers responded around 9:10 p.m. to the 500 block of North Marion Street, where they found the two men, 26 and 28, with apparent stab wounds, according to Sgt. John Moncayo, a spokesman for the Olathe Police Department.

Police conducted life-saving measures on the 26-year-old, but he died of his injuries at the scene. The 28-year-old man had a stab wound that wasn’t life threatening and was taken to a hospital for further treatment.

A 22-year-old male suspect was located and taken into custody.
