Police are investigating after a person died in a hit-and-run crash Saturday.

Officers responded around 9:52 p.m. to the area of Truman Road and Campbell Avenue, according to Capt. Corey Carlisle, a spokesman for the Kansas City Police Department.

A black and green Kawasaki motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Truman, when it was struck by an unknown vehicle that failed to yield the right of way before turning left.

The motorcyclist was declared dead at the scene, and the driver of the unknown vehicle didn’t stop.

Police ask anyone with information to call the anonymous TIPS Hotline at 816-474-8477.
