Homicide investigation underway in Kansas City, Kan.

The body of a woman found late Monday morning inside a Kansas City, Kan., house is being investigated as a homicide, police said.

The woman, believed to be in her 30s, was found about 11:30 a.m. Monday inside a residence in the 900 block of Miami Avenue. Police said she had sustained an apparent gunshot wound.
