Man shot, wounded amid domestic disturbance with girlfriend in Grandview: Police

A domestic disturbance Thursday afternoon ended in gunfire with one man shot at a Grandview home, according to police.

Officers were dispatched around 3:45 p.m. on a reported shooting in the 6100 block of 135th Terrace, Sgt. Dean Van Winkle of Grandview police said in a statement.

The gunshot victim, a 39-year-old man, was taken away by ambulance with an injury not believed to be life-threatening, Van Winkle said. It happened during a domestic situation involving his girlfriend.

Further details were not disclosed by police.

The shooting was being investigated by Grandview detectives on Thursday. Police said they were not searching for any additional suspects and there was no danger to the public.
