1 fatally shot, 1 stabbed at Miami County campground early Tuesday: Police
Miami County Sheriff’s deputies were investigating after one person was fatally shot and another was stabbed early Tuesday at a campground in Hillsdale State Park.
Emergency services were dispatched to the park Tuesday morning and found a single gunshot victim and a second person who suffered a stab wound that was not life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said on social media.
Deputies took one person into custody, the sheriff’s office said. Criminal charges were pending as of Tuesday afternoon.
The sheriff’s office said there was not a threat to the larger public at any time.
Further information was not immediately disclosed by police.
