Kansas City, North, checkpoint yields nine DUI arrests
Authorities arrested nine people for driving under the influence and two for possession of narcotics at a sobriety checkpoint overnight at Missouri Highway 152 and Green Hills Road in Kansas City, North.
Kansas City police and the Missouri Highway Patrol stopped 621 vehicles from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m., said Sgt. Christopher Bentch of the police department's DUI traffic unit.
