Man dead after struck by vehicle in Kansas City, Kansas, while walking, police say
A pedestrian is dead after being hit by a vehicle in Kansas City, Kansas on Sunday night, police said.
At about 10:20 p.m., police said a vehicle traveling eastbound near the 7000 block of Kansas Avenue struck a man walking westbound in the eastbound lane. The man was pronounced dead on the scene.
The driver and a witness remained on scene and cooperated with authorities, Nancy Chartrand, a police department spokeswoman, said.
The traffic division of KCKPD is investigating the incident.
