Motorcyclist critically injured in Kansas City crash Monday afternoon: Police
A motorcyclist was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a crash in Kansas City’s Northland, according to police.
Around 3:30 p.m., officers were called to Northeast Antioch Road and Northeast 53rd Street on a reported collision involving three vehicles.
Police said a Honda motorcycle driver was in the far-left lane on Antioch when a silver SUV turned left toward the shopping center there. The motorcyclist hit the side of the SUV and was thrown from his vehicle, police said.
The motorcycle then collided with another SUV that was at a stoplight.
The motorcyclist, who was not wearing a helmet, was taken to the hospital with critical injuries, police said. No one else was hurt in the crash Monday.
